Doris, 
You and Cliff became a part of my life when I moved into Windmark.  Cliff was a wonderful person, mentor and friend. He was always available to assist me with the next issue at Windmark. Allan and I will miss him and his daily emails. Take care and please keep in touch.

Doc was a wonderful friend, corpsman, gentleman, Christian, Husband.  I served with him aboard the USS GENESEE from 67 - 69.  One of my duties was to assist him in the morning meds call handing out sea sick pills.  We ran out one day and for the remainder of the crew Doc and I gave the men aspirin tablets without them knowing it wasn't sea sick pills.  They worked really well  He was a great story teller and has been for many years the first e-mail in my mail each morning when I open my e-mail box up. He always kept me up to date on current military affairs, disability programs and was a great help in my obtaining my disability through the VA.  A lot of men leave this world and are remember for a year or so but this man will remain in our hearts who served with him till our dying days.  Thanks Doc for all your support and friendship. Doc: I was very saddened to learn of your passing.  I am glad that we were friends for the past seven years.  I enjoyed working with you as a member of the USS Genesee Shipmates Association. Cliff & Doris became friends with my wife Shirley and I thru a mutual friend Ralph Deeter and his wife at their home in Trayton, WA. We would run into them on numerous occasions at party's or out dining or shopping, Shirley worked with Cliff. He was very proffesional and caring. They also attended my big 50th birthday party and we were members of the Bremerton Elks Club.  We always enjoyed their company and we are sorry to hear of his passing, I salute my "Brother in Arm's".

I'm so saddened to learn of Cliff's passing.  He was a very positive influence in the Manchester Community.  Through his leadership, we were able to form the Manchester Community Council, which goes on into the future as the Manchester Community Association.  Cliff will not be forgotten.

I want to express my sincere sympathy to Cliff's family on the loss of a great sailor and wonderful patriot.  He rendered incredible and heroic service to a grateful nation and this 'Nam vet in particular.  He was a wonderful citizen and a great asset to our tiny village of Manchester.  He was an incredible individual and will be most sorely missed.  Fair winds and following seas, Brother.

Cliff served as one of our volunteers at the Port Orchard Police Department for several years in the early 2000's.  He was very conscientious about his work and serving the community.  Just a great guy!

I met Cliff and his wonderful family while working at his dentist.  My day was always complete when he and his family came in for their appointment.  Cliff you will be missed by many!  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family!  RIP Cliff!

Cliff and I became friends at Bangor in the '70's.  We met again thru the Food Bank in the '90's. He was a fine man, an always caring man, a good friend. Thank you for posting his death in the Kitsap Sun. I am so glad I knew this gentle giant.
