Clark burst into this world March 8, 1971, in Phoenix, Arizona, and lived his whole life in the Valley of the Sun, excepting a short stint in Washington state in the ‘90s. He was friendly and fun-loving, and known by many monikers: Clark Jr Jr, Flaco, Clarkie, J.R., Pacheco, Bulls, and Junior, just to name a few.
Of the many joys he brought with him were his playful nature and sometimes off-beat sense of humor. He peppered his jokes with an endless supply of pop-cultural references, always to our delight. He loved athletics in his youth and excelled at all sports, especially baseball, and he spent endless hours with his best friend Matt Foote playing ball. He was also an excellent country dancer and downhill skier but when his health made these activities difficult, he avidly took up one-wheeling, camping, and target practice. Since the day his Aunt Shirley Kintner took him to watch Star Wars in 1977 he has been a Star
Wars fan, and we were always amused by his Darth Vader impersonation.
Starting with a paper route when he was nine and a job as a caddy for a couple of years in his teens Clark loved to save the money he earned. He developed a renowned work ethic and grew his pool construction trade into a thriving business. He prided himself on providing the best customer service and best-in-class pool and yard preparation. With his skilled team handling the groundwork, Clark focused on maneuvering his bobcat to perfection, showcasing his expertise and finesse.
Clark was conservative with his dollars, but endlessly generous with his time and hospitality. His home was a refuge for many a stranger, friend and family member. Over the years, he provided so many people with a place to live, food, work, guidance and support it would be difficult to count them all. In times of need, Clark always had your back. He also generously donated to Veterans, Police, and Firefighter charities and the ASPCA.
Clark found the love of his life rather late but discovered so much happiness with his wife Joulienne Guda. They married in 2021 and started sharing the best adventures. Clark unexpectedly passed away on Saturday April 13th, 2024 but is still loved on Earth by his wife Joulienne, his Mother Sharon (Curkovich) Thompson, his father Clark Bulliner II, his sister Kathy (Bulliner) Bergman, his sister Lorrie (Fortner) von Allmen, his nephew Josh Bergman, his niece Elizabeth von Allmen and his brother-in-law Paul von Allmen. His beloved pup Zeus and his cat Ethel deeply miss his presence but will be cared for by family.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU all.
In lieu of flowers, Clark would want you to save your money. But if you are inspired to give, please consider giving to the ASPCA in his honor. There will be a service and small reception at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, on Sunday April 28, 2024 at 3PM.
