Cheryl Ann Borup

Cheryl Ann Borup, 76, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on August 16, 2024. Cheryl was born on July 17, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ellis and Melba Crane. She graduated from Highland High School 1966. Cheryl met her sweetheart in high school, and they married on June 16, 1967.

Cheryl was the proud mother of two children and was a housewife while her children were young. She was actively involved in her children’s education, served on the PTA and was a Cub Scout Den Leader. In 1985 the family moved to Mesa, Arizona and she rejoined the work force in the floor covering business as a Project Manager working with her brother-in-law and nephews until she retired at the age of 62.

Cheryl liked to collect southwest décor, solve crossword puzzles, play miniature golf, go out to eat, visit the beach and loved to dance. Throughout dating and marriage to Kent, they spent many hours dancing and took a variety of dance lessons.

Cheryl was proceeded in death by Kent, her beloved husband of more than 50 years, her mother Melba Baggaley Crane, father Ellis Crane, sister Diana Crane Seiter, grandson Lee Brown and grandson Nathan Borup. Cheryl is survived by her son Dennis Borup (Sylvia), daughter Wendy Borup Venrick, grandchildren Amber Borup Hanna (Kevin) and Matthew Venrick and great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Cheryl will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a celebration of life to follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, At Mariposa Gardens - Agave Venue, 6747 East Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206. A committal will occur Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, Arizona 85206.
