Catherine (Callahan) Simanovich , 84, passed away April 26, 2016 in Mesa, Arizona following an extended illness. Born on March 25, 1932 in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles Callahan Sr. and Elizabeth Muntz Callahan. Preceding her in death were her sisters Elizabeth, Geraldine; brother Charles, and her favorite dog, “China”. She was a 1949 graduate of Harter High School and resided in Plymouth Township for most of her life. She was a member of the Franklin Street Methodist Church. In her younger years, she served as president of her Sunday school class, and enjoyed membership and activities with the Order of Eastern Star. “Cass” was a devoted wife to her husband of 66 years, Joseph, and loving mother to daughters Cathy (John) Ruff, Nadine (Richard) Ferrucci, and Felecia (Donald) Erhardt. Cass enjoyed her 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, shopping, traveling, and going to the casinos while living in Arizona. She was a warm and thoughtful person with a big heart and a great sense of humor who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date with immediate family members. Arrangements are made by Melcher Chapel of the Roses.
