She loved crossword puzzles,
to relax in her chair and eventually fall asleep,
to garden with her exceptionally green thumb,
to pin curl her hair and get permanents to keep it curled,
to play dominos, yahtzee and cards with friends and family,
to tease people in a gentle way,
to nickname with endearment,
to cook holiday meals and have them ready by 1:00 pm,
to dress nice and be pretty as a picture.
She loved the Arizona desert,
to work hard at whatever job she had to do,
to soak her feet in Epsom salts.
But most of all, she loved her kids—all 4 of them—Linda, Steve, Carl and Paul.
Cathy adored her brother, Rudy Bodd, and his wife, Elizabeth, who are currently living in New York City close to their children, Patty and Bobby.
Life twisted and turned for Cathy and she persevered. She never gave up smiling and loving and hoping and caring about those she loved.
We will miss her.
