Bradley moved from Palestine after two years at a Hebrew university. He then took a year off and moved to Cuba. While in Cuba, he was accepted to the University of Toronto to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. He left Cuba with $20 in his pocket and knowing limited English. He accomplished his dream in 1965. He was in private practice for nearly 40 years. First in Toronto, Canada, then moving in 1978 to North Carolina. The remainder of his career was spent in Belleville, IL from 1982 until 2004. His retirement years were spent in Mesa, AZ where he loved the sun and hot weather.
“Doc” had a passion for wood turning, playing poker twice a week with friends, and watching baseball whenever he could, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bradley was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel, of 55 years; his parents, five brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his children, Andrew Sakran (Stephanie) and Amanda Lankford. His grandchildren; Blake Sakran (Kaitlin), Elizabeth Alt (Christopher), Jacob Lankford (Lisa), Sarah Lankford, and William Lankford. He has one great-grandson, Oliver Alt, and one soon-to-be great-grandson, baby Sakran. Bradley has two surviving siblings, Inam Akawi and Fida Ayoub; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews from all over the world.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Bradley’s honor on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 1:00pm at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park; 6747 E. Broadway Road Mesa, Arizona 85206. Following the Celebration, Bradley will be laid to rest next to his loving wife at Mariposa Gardens.
