Bert Edward Johnson Sr

Bert was born to Squire & Ruby Johnson (deceased) on February 1st, 1948, in Clinton Iowa. Bert was one of five children - he is survived by 2 of his siblings Carol “Sissy” Rieck (Bruce) and Bonnie Pillers (Jon). He is now in heaven with his parents and his other 2 siblings Gail & Gary.

Bert married Connie Johnson (Chambers) on September 1st, 1969 and were married for 54 loving years until he passed away. They had a love that was undeniable and they grew a beautiful life together.

Bert is survived by his wife Connie, his children: Bert Jr (Shelly), Chris (Amanda), Carolyn (Ronnie). Bert was also a very prideful grandfather and is survived by all of his grandchildren Ashley (Cody), David, Bert III, Alexis (Javier), Alyssa (Marvin), Christian, Danielle, Ryan, Maraye, Sienna, Avery & Kace. There is only one thing Bert loved more than his grandkids and that would be his great grandchildren which he is also survived by: Isaiah, Ezra, Isaac, Liam, Valerie, Piper, Aaliyah, Bentley, Addison & CJ.

Bert was a kind, selfless man who loved his family and loved God. He will always be missed but who once was an angel on this earth is now an angel in heaven.

A visitation for Bert will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. We will lay Bert to rest following these services at 2:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E Broadway Rd Mesa, AZ 85206.
