Barbara "Barb" Ann Marrill, age 71, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Harlan and Wanda Marill on January 27, 1953. Barb was raised by her mother Wanda "Pinky" and her stepfather Doyal "Dude" Thompson.
Barb graduated from Burke High School in 1971 and soon after she joined the Navy. She served in the Navy as a Communications Specialist until 1972 when she was honorably discharged.
Barb graduated from Nebraska College of Business and received an associate's degree in business administration.
Throughout her professional career, she was an accountant and a secretary for Needham Inc in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a member of benevolent and protective order of elks and had a passion for giving back to her community.
But more than anything, Barb was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
She is survived by her loving children Tarrance Marrill and Patrick (Odeymis) Marrill; her siblings Michael Thompson, Joy Skinner, and Dee Dee Mead; grandchildren Cadence Marrill, Mason Marrill, Jay Marrill, and Maliah Marrill; and several nieces and nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her mother Wanda "Pinky" Thompson, her stepfather Doyal "Dude" Thompson, her older sister Jan Emery and her biological father Harlan Marrill.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
