Barbara Ann Barker

Barbara Ann Barker, beloved sister, mother, and grandmother passed away June 30th, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 69. She was born in Ogden, Utah on March 29th, 1954. She was the youngest child of 3, born to Eva Audrey Windley Deardorff and Frank Robert Deardorff. She was a sister to Cecille Monson and Suzanne Cook. She was married to Jerald Goodsell on June 29, 1973, in Beaver Dam (Collinston), UT, and had 2 kids, Patricia and Nicole (and a son when Nicole married Todd Gardiner). She was a loving grandmother to Nicole’s children, Andrew, Rory, and Tate. She loved spending time with them, playing games, working on crafts and spoiling them.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed reading her scriptures. She enjoyed a productive life working in production and later purchasing at Cache Valley Dairy, which led to becoming a medical purchaser for Bloss Memorial Hospital in Atwater, CA, Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA and Kitchell in Phoenix, AZ. Most recently, she worked in retail at Target and Barnes & Noble for several years.

She enjoyed reading and keeping her hands busy with crocheting, drawing, painting, and putting together puzzles. She also liked watching tv/movies and visiting with family.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole; son-in-law, Todd; her grandchildren, Rory, Tate, and Andrew; and sister, Cecille. Her parents Robert and Eva Deardorff and her daughter Patricial Helen Goodsell precede her in death.

She will be loved, remembered, and greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
