

Arnold proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII and was stationed in various locations such as New Guinea, the Western Pacific, Southern Philippines, Luzon and Manila. During his tour of duty, Arnold received a Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, the Asiatic Theater ribbon with (1) Bronze Battle Star, the Philippine Liberation ribbon with (1) Bronze Battle Star as well as (4) Overseas Service bars; he was honorably discharged on November 28, 1945 from Ft. Sheridan Separation Center in Illinois at the rank of Corporal.
Arnold loved the outdoors, from fishing to camping as well as traveling with his family. He was a very creative person and would enjoy building model airplanes in his younger years; later in life, he went on to build his own 13 foot wooden boat. He was an advanced automotive designer at Chrysler Corp for over 20 years.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Richard and Roger Wickerham and his beloved wife, Joan A. Wickerham who passed away January 19, 2011. He is survived by his daughter Lynn (Brad) Bergstrom; son Dennis Arnold (Carolyn) Wickerham; grandchildren, Holly (Doug) Martin, Tammy Lynn Wickerham, Chris and Scott Amiels, Krystal (Jason) Gray, Erin L. (Erin) Weatherly and Danyel (Justin) Wilson as well as his great grandchildren, Noah, Joshua, Miranda, Sarah, Christopher, C.J., Chael, Devin, Lorraine, Jeremy, Kora, Morgan, Riley and Landyn. He will be dearly missed.
