Anthony Louis Diaz Sr. Age 71, of Mesa, AZ passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Anthony graduated from Gallup High School in 1970. In 1972 Anthony joined the Navy. He served for 15 years as sonar technician 1st class.
Anthony is survived by his wife Priscilla of 50 years; his three children Anthony Diaz Jr. - wife Mary Diaz, Sandra Smith - husband Brian Smith, Jason Diaz - partner Staci Smith all of Mesa, AZ; Sister Corina Evans of Oregon; Brothers Felix Diaz - wife Priscilla Diaz of Albuquerque, NM; George Diaz of Gallup, NM; and Louis Diaz - wife Antoinette Diaz of San Diego, CA. Anthony has eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Anthony is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Charlotte Diaz; grandparents Louis and Cruz Diaz; brothers Charles Diaz and Steven Diaz.
The viewing and church services will be at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, 1244 S Power Rd. Mesa AZ, 85206 Tuesday September 19, 2023, at 10am. The funeral will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix AZ, 85024 Wednesday September 20, 2023, at 11am.
