Anita Louise Walters (Whetsell), 74, passed away on July 21, 2020, in her home in Queen Creek, Arizona surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kingwood, West Virginia she grew up in Ojai, California and graduated from Nordhoff High School in 1963. This is where she met the love of her life Ben Walters, Where they shared marital happiness for 57 unforgettable years. Together they raised 4 amazing children, Karen Husted, Denise Stoltz, Jennifer Dale (Jayson) and Allen Walters (Lourdes).
She shared words of wisdom and encouragement, and did so with a gentle touch. She could intuitively sense when healing was needed, and would patiently listen as a wife, mother, sister or good friend. She taught her children how to be exceptional parents and to respect and love unconditionally without limits. She often said that looking good was important but it was what you were inside that made you truly beautiful. She loved family gatherings and reminiscing with family and friends. She welcomed everyone as if they were family. She really enjoyed do-it-yourself home projects, decorating, and family game nights. In her later years silver "slippers" exercise classes and puzzles were her favorite things to do.
She will be deeply missed by all including her grandchildren, Lacey Albrent, Christina Ingham, Sarah Stoltz, Dustin Husted, Kirstie Walters, Dallas Husted, Madalyne Dale, Shaye Dale, Amy Stoltz, Jayden Dale, Lincoln Dale, great grandson Henry Ingham, sister Mary Titus and brother Earl Whetsell.
She is predeceased by her mother, Lola Whetsell, father Woodrow Whetsell, and son Allen Walters.
Peace be with you.
