Roy was promoted and transferred several times, and they lived in eight states before finally settling in Arizona. During those times, Alice worked for Montgomery Ward, and for the U.S. Navy as a civil servant while Roy served in the Navy during WWII.
Roy was promoted to an executive position at the Woolworth home office in NYC before he retired and they came to Arizona for good in 1973.
They both loved to play golf, and Alice was heavily involved in both the Golden Hills community and the Arizona Golf Resort, where she was president of the Ladies 18 Hole Club and the Golden Niners (where she was Club Champion 3 years in a row.)
Her husband Roy preceded her in death in October of 1991. She is survived by her daughter Sandra, son-in-law Bill, granddaughters Cynthia (Michael) and Rebecca, and five great-grandchildren – Ashley, Gabriella, Machaela, Jeremiah, and Joshua.
