Albert Lee Jones, age 89, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Thursday May 3, 2018. Albert was born in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico on June 16, 1928 to Albert V. Jones and Melvina Jones. Albert is survived by his spouse, Maxene Jones; daughters Gayle Ethington-O'Dell and Marilyn McEntire; sons Lloyd R. Jones, O. Wayde Jones and Phylip L. Jones; sisters Martha Hall and Ruthie Tanner; brothers Harold Jones and Melvin Jones; as well as 27 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his father Albert V. Jones and mother Melvina Jones; as well as his brother Charles Jones. Albert worked both as a farmer and a maintenance manager. Albert served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed horseback riding, spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and studying family history. A visitation for Albert will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 633 South Higley Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 633 South Higley Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206. Interment will be on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Virden Cemetery, Virden, New Mexico.
