Warren was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, and graduated from Ridge Technical High. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1949-1953, an experience that inspired a lifetime of patriotism and commitment to the service of others. He was a Dental technician in the Korean war U.S.S. Cadmus, and later went on to become a computer engineer. At the core of Warren’s veteran status and successful career was a dedicated family man. Following a family-first mantra, Warren’s heart was full off love for his wife of 66 years, Prudence Carrier, his three children, and later on, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was also a caring brother and friend to his siblings. In addition to family, faith played an active role in Warren’s life. He served as an alter boy as a child, and later as a deacon at the Catholic church. Warren’s connection to his family fueled a passion to know more about his Irish heritage. Warren and his wife traveled to Ireland many times to explore their family history. Warren never stopped learning and his trips overseas sparked interest in a second language— he eventually taught himself to speak Gaelic. Warren’s propensity for learning and adventure made him a devout reader of novels, as well. He made learning new things fun, always cracking jokes and laughing with others along the way. He was sincere and honest, and his strong, lasting hugs were always a reminder to his family just how much he loved them. Warren’s loyalty to his country and affection for his family will continue to leave a mark on the lives of those he left behind.
