Sarah Durham Clark

She is predeceased by her father Henry Joseph Durham and her mother Fannie Elizabeth Cornelia Knowles of North Carolina and her husband of fifty-one years, the Rev. Stewart R. Clark, of Vincennes, IN. She is survived by her three sons, Stanley Clark and wife Stacy of Bossier City, LA, Steven Clark of Bremerton, WA, Scott Clark and wife Theresa of Winter Park, FL., a step-brother Charles Harwick of Fernandina Beach, FL. She also has five grandchildren: Jennifer Smith, Andrea Manning, Cameron Crudup, Kristin Cisco and Samuel Clark and two great-grandchilden.

Sarah is retired from the Brevard County Public School System where she worked first as an English teacher and later as a guidance counselor at Merritt Island High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Tift College and a master degree in counseling from Stetson University. She was also active in the activities of First Baptist Church of Cocoa, Fl.

Calling hours are 6-8PM Thursday December 26, 2013 at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 1PM Friday December 27, 2013 also at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be Saturday December 28, 2013 at Bosque Bello Cemetery, Fernandina Beach, FL.
