Paul Wesley Heller, 70, of Merritt Island, Fl. passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at St. Francis Reflections Hospice. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home (1360 N. Courtney Pkwy, Merritt Island, Fl. 32953). A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. at the same location. Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on January 31, 2022, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, Fl. 32754). Paul was born July 1, 1951 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Fred and Grace Heller. He graduated from Cocoa Beach High School in 1970. On April 23, 1992 he married Freda, a person who is and will forever be the love of his life. Paul served his country honorably with the U.S. Army from 1971-1974. He graduated trade school as a welder and worked as such until retirement. Paul loved the water, spending various times in his life surfing, shrimping, lobstering, boating and his one true love, fishing. In retirement, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his wife and family saying those last few years were the best of his life.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Freda J Heller, his son and 2 stepdaughters Kevin Heller, Carla Coulter and her husband Mike, and Melissa Smith, his 5 grandchildren (Nicholas, Kyle, Jaymi, Aaron and Bethany), his 6 great grandchildren (Ashlynn, Gabbi, Dayna, Issaac, Ehzra and 1 on the way), his brother Neil Heller and sister Debbie Brunner, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Grace, and his sister Judy Godwin.
