Mary "Velma" Keene of Satellite Beach, FL, passed over into the arms of our Lord on Monday, November 29, 2010.

Velma was a devoted wife, mother, grandparent, as well as a church member for many years. She possessed a wry sense of humor, was compassionate, and held a steadfast love of God.

As the heart and soul of her family, she will be greatly missed by her husband of near 64 years, Bernie Keene, her 7 children: Cindy D'Entremont (Gene), of Quincy, FL, Ken Keene (Peggy), of Tampa, FL, Karen Ropp (David), of Melbourne, FL, Bill Keene (Doris), of Ormond Beach, FL, Mike Keene (Sherry) of Melbourne, David Keene (Cindy), of Melbourne, FL, and Keith Keene, of Columbia, SC; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and a multitude of friends and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at Cocoa Beach First Baptist Church 830 South Atlantic Avenue Cocoa Beach, FL at 11:00AM on Saturday December 04, 2010. A “Pot Luck” reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
