Mary and Michael were married for 56 years before his passing in 1998, moving to Brevard County in 1993. She was a loving mother to 3 sons. Mary was a medical assistant and secretary most of her career.
She loved cooking, painting, singing, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, reading, listening to Opera and was an avid golfer. She loved her family and entertaining. She loved to sing, singing with her church choir and as a soloist. She had many wonderful stories to tell about her life that also became ways of teaching those looking to her for guidance.
She volunteered for the Civil Defense as a volunteer Police Woman in Loraine, Ohio. She was involved with Boy Scouts of America. She made costumes for the Performing Arts Magnet and Show Stoppers at Gardendale Elementary School. She assisted with costumes for Theater On Ice Group in 2004, with many of the young people referring to her as Grandma Mary. She won Volunteer of the year at Cocoa High School for the many hours she spent altering CHS Marching Band Uniforms and the unique items she made for the CHS Marching Band Spirit Tent for over five years in her 80’s! She also won a Jefferson Award for Public Service.
Mary is survived by her Brother, Armondo DeMarco; Sister Bridget Schulin, Son Charles Cicerrella (Loretta); Daughters-in-law, Gayle (Michael) and Anna (Carl) Cicerrella; Grandsons, Carl Michael Cicerrella, James Cicerrella, and John Prytle; Granddaughters, Lisa Elliot, Mary Proctor, and Monica Rapitis; Great- grandson Anthony Proctor, Great- granddaughters Sara Stuckey, Ashley Bond, and Sidney Stewart (Woody); Great-great grandson Mason Bardo; Great- great granddaughters Nicole Bond and Rayleigh Proctor, and honorary Great- grandchildren, Kayla and Luci Painter and Clinton and Marina Gifford.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph DeMarco; mother, Margaret Garreffa DeMarco; Husband Michael C. Cicerrella; Brothers Joseph and Anthony DeMarco; Sisters Angela Provenza and Rose Mannarelli (passing away 4 days after her beloved sister on October 18, 2019); Sons Michael A and Carl R Cicerrella, and Great great granddaughter Kolby Stewart.
