Margaret was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she attended school and met the love of her life, Bob Schack, when she was 14 years old. On May 5, 1950, the two were married and soon moved to Merritt Island, FL to start a sanitation business that would serve central Brevard.
Later, as a member of the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church, she sang in the church choir for several years. She loved music, always humming a tune wherever she went. Margaret enjoyed volunteering her time helping the Merritt Island Presbyterian Afterschool Kids Klub, along with serving as Deacon in her church. Margaret also volunteered her time in the schools and served as an auxilian at Wuesthoff for several years.
Kind, loving, and a devoted Christian are a few words that describe Margaret. To her children, Eddie, Gary, Stephen, and Cheryl, she was the backbone and glue that kept everyone together. In marriage, Bob was the visionary and Margaret the practical one, transforming Bob’s visions into reality. They made a great team!
Margaret dedicated her life to her family and was always available to give her love and support through the good and difficult times. Her grandchildren were a great joy to her and brought her much happiness. In her later years, Margaret’s loyal dog Hannah also brought her great joy and companionship. Margaret’s legacy will continue to live on in the lives of her family.
Margaret is survived by two children, Robert Schack, Jr. (Lynn) and Cheryl Beardall (Jay); daughter-in-law Nancy Schack; nine grandchildren, Robert Schack (Betsy), Carrie Floss (Art), Tracey Mularchyk (Josh), Gary Schack, Jr (Kimberly), Kelly Sheridan (Mark), Rachel Johnson (Eric), Matthew Beardall, Andrew Beardall, Aaron Lucas; and eight great-grandchildren, Greyson, Colin, Lauren and Claire Floss, Joshua Mularchyk, Kameryn Schack, Cora Johnson, and Aiden Lucas.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Robert Schack, Sr. (1993), sons Gary Schack (2021), and Stephen Schack (1997), and grandson Christopher Beardall (1999).
