Laura Dawn Benziger, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on March 22, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.
Laura will be remembered for her unwavering faith, loving heart, and quiet strength. Her life was a beautiful reflection of warmth, integrity, and selfless service.
In her youth, she was full of life—crowned prom queen, a cheerleader, and a competitive ballroom dancer. Her love of horses, painting, and nature reflected her artistic soul, while old westerns and adventure novels brought her joy in quieter moments.
Her deep devotion to her faith shaped every part of her life. For decades, she shared her beliefs with others through volunteer Bible ministry and lovingly taught her children the values that guided her life. She looked forward to the Bible’s promise of a resurrection—a time when God will restore life to those who have died, bringing them back to live on a peaceful earth. This hope, based on scriptures such as John 5:28-29, brought her deep comfort and strength.
Later in life, Laura became known for her generous hospitality. Her home was a place of comfort and gathering—where friends and family alike felt welcomed and loved. She was affectionately known as “Grandma Laura” not only to her own family but to many others who were drawn to her kindness.
Though her absence is deeply felt, her legacy lives on in the many hearts she touched.
“I have fought the fine fight, I have run the race to the finish, I have observed the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
