Kevin Antwon Marshall was born November 26, 1978 in Columbia, SC and was raised by his mother Elsie Marshall and father, Roosevelt Martin Jr. in Chicago, Illinois and later Titusville, Florida. Kevin enlisted in the United States Air Force soon after his graduation from Astronaut High School in Titusville, Fl in 1996 at the age of 17. Kevin was a KC-10 Crew Chief while serving in the Air Force. He coordinated the care of KC-10 Aircrafts and assisted with maintaining critical support missions all over the world. Kevin traveled the world while in the Air Force from June, 1996 to June, 2000, visiting countries such as Germany, Spain, Saudi Arabia and more. During his military service, he also met his best friend and sweetheart Danielle Beamon who was also enlisted in the Air Force at the time.
Kevin and Danielle have had a 20+ year relationship and shared 20 years of marriage. They were blessed with two amazing children. Their eldest son Demetrius Kiel Marshall was born in 2001. Demetrius is now in his second year of college as an Engineering major. Their younger son Domonick William- Roosevelt Marshall was born in 2004. Domonick is now in his Junior year of High School and maintains a 4.0 GPA. Kevin’s children were his greatest joy. He loved watching them shine in sporting outlets and excel academically and encouraged them to do whatever made them happy. They always knew that Kevin was their biggest supporter and always made time to let them know just how much they meant to him. Kevin was always beaming with pride when he talked about his wife and children. There was nothing in this world more important to him than his family. He did everything to make sure that they wanted for nothing. Kevin would do anything just to see a smile on everyone’s face.
After his Air Force career, Kevin pursued his education earning a bachelor’s degree in business management and later earned a master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Southern California. He grew in his career as a Social Worker and continued to love a life of service assisting Veterans at both the Sacramento Veterans Resource Center and in Federal service at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Kevin found so much purpose in serving his fellow Veterans. At the Department of Veterans Affairs, Kevin considered his co-workers family as well and took the time to make sure everyone was cared for.
Kevin is now in the arms of God and resting eternally alongside his father Roosevelt Martin who preceded him in the afterlife. He will be survived by his Mother Elsie Marshall, wife Danielle Marshall, son’s Demetrius and Domonick, Sister Mamie Crosby (Husband Byron), his brother Noah Martin (Wife Michelle), sister Anita Williams and Brother Gavin Martin. He was also blessed with bonus siblings Lionel Seals, Ashleigh Gums, and Cidneah Gums.
