Keith Eldwin Lilly, age 87, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2018. Keith was born November 1, 1930 in Daytona Beach, Fl. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Korean War, Keith and his wife Adeline purchased Indian River Furniture in Cocoa Village from his father in 1956. In 1968, the store moved to Peachtree Street and in 1974 to the current location in Rockledge. Serving on the Rockledge City Council and the Masonic Lodge, he helped shape the local community. His hard work & dedication defines the heart of a small business, which has served Brevard County since 1939, currently run by the third generation of family. However, Keith was best known for the love of his life, Adeline, who shared his hobby of sailing throughout the Bahamas, on their sailboat named “Ambling” and mentoring his children to carry on the family legacy of Indian River Furniture. Keith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, The strength of his faith was the guiding light through the dark journey of dementia. He is survived by wife Adeline of 65 years, children/wives; Forrest/Bridget and Brian/Lisa. Grandchildren, Brian, Rebecca, Rachael. Great grandchildren, Bradley, Muriel, Summer and Farren. In lieu of flowers, we would like to honor his life with donations made to; The “House of Hope”, Merritt Island, First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with service at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
