Kathleen Rachel Jones

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Charles Jones, of Atlantic Beach; her daughter Tammy Jones, of Atlantic Beach; grandchildren Skylar, John Thomas and Adriana; mother Barbara Luertzing of Merritt Island, FL; siblings Cindylynn Gates (Earl) of Bridgeton NJ, Herb Polhamus (Sandy) of Summersville WV, Patricia Polhamus of Pennsville NJ, George J Smith III (Dottie) of Southampton NJ, Margaret Osgood (Dale) of Merritt Island FL, James Smith of Merritt Island FL, Robin Davis of Andrews SC and sister-in-law Kathy (Skip) Clark of Niceville FL; 3 Nieces, 9 Nephews, 5 Great Nieces, 9 Great Nephews and 1 Great Great Nephew.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Herb and Kay Leary, Bob and Margaret Riddle, George Smith Sr, father George J Smith Jr of Hudson Florida, brother Fred Polhamus of Millville New Jersey; and her nephew, Jason Osgood, of Maplesville Alabama.

Kathleen was born on February 24, 1955 in Millville New Jersey, to parents Barbara Leary Luertzing and Fred Polhamus (George J Smith Jr). She graduated from Millville Senior High School in 1974. In 1985,she married the love of her life PO1 Charles Jones and embarked on an amazing adventure as a military spouse. She was a great wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring, loving person with a sense of humor that would always make you laugh and smile.

No private services are scheduled at this time. The family will be having a private time to say their final goodbyes. Everyone is welcome to attend a reception and celebration of Kathleen's life on Saturday, May 15 at 11 am at the home of Dale and Margaret Osgood.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support that has been shown to the family. Flowers can be sent to the Osgood home and donations can be sent to the American Heart Association.
