John William Comber

John William Comber Jr., age 66 passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Rockledge, Florida. He was born on February 24, 1958 in Alexandria, Virginia. He moved to Merritt Island, Florida on July 4, 1973.

John lost his father when he was 8 years old. He leaves his mother, Margaret Anne Shoemaker; brother, Bob Comber; nephew, Robert; nieces, Trina and Cheyanne and good friend Roscoe.

John graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1976. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2020.

John loved fishing, the beach, gardening, and all animals. Most of all, he loved taking his dog, Buster, walking in the woods every morning.

He was always the person that reached out to help strangers and others in need.

A visitation for John will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home.
