Glen E. Poley, a proud U.S. Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, at the age of 97. Born on February 2, 1927, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Glen lived a full and remarkable life dedicated to service, family, and his community.
Glen served honorably in the United States Navy, specializing in communications, where he spent many years serving his country with distinction. Following his military service, he continued to make a positive impact in his community, using his skills and knowledge to support various efforts.
Glen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Poley. He leaves behind his step-children, Linda Dubea (Jim), Wayne Brockensick (Penny), and David Brockensick; his sister, Dolores Vansweden (Marvin); and his grandchildren, Matthew and Baileigh Webster, as well as Jenna and Matthew Klippel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever cherish his memory and the lessons he imparted.
A memorial service to honor Glen's life and legacy will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on January 11, 2025 at 1:00. Interment will follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
Glen will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and contributions will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
