Dewey Richard Hill

Dick graduated from Cocoa High School in 1961, Brevard Junior College in 1963 and the University of South Florida in 1966.

He worked 31 years at Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center for Boeing, Lockheed and United Space Alliance. He also worked 13 years at Port Canaveral as a Pier Agent, was the owner of Bay Mare Stables in Cocoa and a long time volunteer at Wuesthoff Hospital (Rockledge Regional).

Dick was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Cocoa.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Okey Donzle Hill and Cora Harris Hill and one brother, David B. Hill. He is survived by his sister-in-law Paula Hill; nieces Lisa Hill, Carla (Don) Troester and Rachel (Phillip) Samuels and nephew James Hill (Shannon); great nieces Abby (Roger) Cheatham, Rebekah Samuels, Nadya and Amelia Troester and Cora Hill. He is also survived by many special friends and co-workers.

Funeral services will be at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home on Merritt Island. Visitation will be Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 1 PM with a service to follow in the chapel at 2:30 PM. No graveside services.
