Christopher "Chris" Bryan Sholar

Christopher B. Sholar Of Cocoa – In loving memory of Christopher Sholar, 56, who passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was the devoted husband of Michele and loving father of Nicole Culwell (Jake), Jessica Shelmidine (Avery). Beloved Pappy to Brooklyn, JJ, Olivia, Lucas and Evelyn. Chris was preceded in death by his mother Linda and sister Marsha. He is also survived by his father Wallace, brothers Michael (Tina), Kenny (Dana), Steve (Julie) and many loving nieces and nephews.

Chris gave many years of service to his country as a submariner with the US Navy. After leaving the Navy he started a career working with the space program, seeing through the end of the Shuttle program and the transition to the Artemis program. His passion was camping with family and friends, but also enjoyed traveling and golfing. Chris leaves behind many friends and colleagues that will deeply miss his sense of humor and love for life.

A celebration of life service will be held in his honor at Coastal Community Church of Port St. John, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude would be greatly appreciated.
