We will never forget you Chet.  We speak of you often.  Your friends, Babs and Dave Lewis

Met Chet for the first time in 1974 when I was hired at Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, NY.  After a while one would get to know Chet and his views on Life and Yourself,  he didn't hold back- he either liked you or he didn't. The old expression "It's Chet's way or the Highway" was so true. He was a great "Prankster" who loved to embarrass his Victims, nothing vicious but fun pranks and I was one of those "Victims". Again, clean fun.

A talented person who became a Software Engineer for Grumman and other Aerospace Companies in Florida was a lover of the Ocean through his Sailing, Scuba Diving and Photography interests. Visited him a few times at his Cape Canaveral residence and was fortunate to view a Space Shuttle Launch from his sixth floor Condo in the 1980's.

He will be missed, but I'll include one of my Sunrise Photos taken recently to honor Chet titled "The Old Man and The Sea" and remember him in the place he loved- The Ocean.

Sail on, old Buddy and Rest-In-Peace.

Chet was a unique individual. Besides being a Marine, and a scuba diver he was a great photographer.  One of his pictures hangs in our condo.  
Besides his words of wisdom he would give us gifts around any holiday, some were silly and some were meaningful, the thought counted.  He especially enjoyed Halloween, so the time of his passing is ironic.
We will miss seeing him in the local watering holes, and solving the worlds problems.

Chet and I met several years ago at Florida Seafood and were very good chums. I respected Chet for his service to our country through the USMC (Reserves) and he liked to talk military. Full of wit and possessing a wealth of knowledge, he could talk on just about anything based on his experiences in life. 

You will be missed friend, Rest easy and keep the gags goin' brother in arms.
