He is the son of Susan P May, D.M.D and the late Christopher A May, D.M.D of Farmington , CT.
He was the beloved husband of Victoria Le May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tuan Le of Daytona Beach, FL.
Andrew was the devoted father of two beautiful daughters, Kelsie Susan May, age 7, and Kasey Hoang May, age 4.
He was the second of three brothers. He is survived by his older brother Gregory C. May of Wellington, Florida and his wife Rachel and three children. He is also survived by his younger brother, Dr. Eric M. May and his wife Corli May of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Andrew was a 2006 high school graduate of The Master’s School in Simsbury, Connecticut. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2010 from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He went on to earn a Doctorate in Pharmacy with distinction as a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society in 2014 from Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy.
Andrew was an outstanding, natural athlete. He enjoyed many sports, in particular, boxing and mixed martial arts. He was a favorite member of Unlimited Kickboxing on Merritt Island, Florida.
In his youth, he played soccer, lacrose, ultimate frisbee, and tennis. He also participated in ski club, snowboarding, waterskiing, swimming and sailing. Over the past year, he particularly enjoyed sailing on the Banana River with his family.
Andrew was a committed Christian. His daughters attend Merritt Island Christian School where is wife is a room mother. His family also regularly attends Georgianna Church on Merritt Island.
Andrew lived with a passion for life that inspired all who knew him. He has been described by friends, family, and coworkers as humble, charismatic, and an unsung “superhero”. He made others feel safe and protected. His boundless energy and enthusiasm knew no bounds. He lived life to the fullest and accomplished whatever he set his mind too. He gave 120 percent effort in all that he did, especially for his two beloved daughters and devoted wife. Andrew truly embodied the bible verse found in Proverbs 3: 5-7.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
A visitation gathering for Andrew will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 North Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, Florida. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Georgianna United Methodist Church, 3925 S. Tropical Trail, Merritt Island, FL.
