We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Patricia (Hill) Alexandruk.
Tricia is survived by her loving husband of 21 years Robert Alexandruk, her mother Fay Hill, sister Lisa Racine (Ron), nieces Kendra and Alyssa, father-in-law Fred Alexandruk, nieces Nicole and Melissa, nephew Jared, as well as her fur babies Gus and Zoey. She is sadly predeceased by her father Michael Hill, stepmother Patricia Lee Hill, mother-in-law Anne Alexandruk, brother-in-law Carl Alexandruk, and four-legged children Kira, Buddy, Charlie, Sheba, and Oliver.
Tricia was born in Powell River September 30, 1969 and graduated high school in 1987. After graduation she went on to obtain her Pharmacy Technician designation and later her Dental Assistant certificate. Her work in medicine and dentistry allowed her to share her compassionate spirit with the communities she served, including Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Powell River, and finally Merritt. Tricia was instrumental in starting the Stoyoma Dental Clinic in Merritt which she managed devotedly.
Tricia’s friendly and social nature helped her make new friends everywhere she went, all the while keeping in touch with her many lifelong friends. To say she was beloved by many seems an immense understatement. She had an ability to take a weight off your shoulders with a single conversation, replacing it with humour and positivity, which will be missed by all who knew her.
Tricia loved the outdoors. She was an avid golfer and loved her golf getaways. Trish and Bob have traveled the world, sharing many of their adventures with Kendra and Alyssa across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Tricia spent most of her free time hiking with friends and her beloved dogs, of which she always had 2 or 3. She was a strong supporter of Angels Animal Rescue where she donated much of her time (and expanded her family). She would never say no to a pair of puppy dog eyes, and her dogs have always been lucky to be adopted into the best home they could ask for.
Tricia’s radiant and generous personality acted as a beacon of light to everyone she met. She was a beautiful example of family, friendship and love, and will be missed every minute of every day.
A celebration of life will be held June 24, 2023, at 1:30 PM PST at Crossroads Community Church in Merritt BC, which will be live streamed to reflect her widespread influence. A gathering in Powell River to follow at a later date.
