Funeral services for Ola Mae George, age 83, of Collinsville, were held Monday at 1 pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. David Watson and Rev. Carl Stephens officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
Mrs. George passed away Saturday in Rush Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and retired from Nelson Hall Chevrolet as a data entry operator. Her hobbies were reading and listening to gospel music.
Survivors include her husband Wayne George of Collinsville, daughter Susan May (Brian) of Collinsville, step daughters Paula George Sharp (Dale) of Brandon and Dewauna Lewis (Keith) of Collinsville, grandchildren Bonnie May and Joey May both of Collinsville, step grandchildren Eric Mason (Sandi) of Collinsville and Matt Mason of Meridian; on great grandchild Karis Mason and two sisters Imogene Joyner (Dewayne) of Neshoba County and Carlene Ellzey (Charles) of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Ethel Johnson and brothers Odell Johnson and Tullus Johnson.
Pallbearers were Kent Joyner, Paul Joyner, Tullus Johnson, Keith Lewis, Dale Sharp and Eric Mason.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
