Services for Mrs. Louise Harmon will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am at First Baptist Church of Marion. Rev. David Sellers will be officiating. Burial will be in Gum Log Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harmon, 89, of Marion, passed away Monday in Newton.
She retired as a secretary and laboratory technician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
A member of First Baptist Church of Marion, she was very active in her church teaching numerous Sunday school classes and participating in several women’s and seniors church and civic organizations. She will be remembered as a life- long learner, always staying busy but most of all as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Harmon is survived by her sons Gary Harmon and wife Lesha, Dr. Frank Harmon and wife Nancy; grandchildren Betsy Harmon Potter and husband Steve, Jon Micah Harmon and wife Nicole, Bob Harmon and wife Bobbie, Elizabeth Harmon Threatt and husband Patrick, Frank Harmon and wife Kelsie and Debbie Harmon Ward and husband Brandon. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; sister Wilma White Benthall and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Thelma White, husband Hubert Harmon and daughter Martha Louise Harmon.
Pallbearers will be Jon Micah Harmon, Bob Harmon, Frank Harmon, Patrick Threatt, Brandon Ward, Steve Potter, and Wayne Benthall.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
