Grady R. Johnson

Tuesday, August 11 at 10 am in Blue Springs Cemetery with Rev.

Johnny Collins officiating. Stephens Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Mr. Johnson passed away Saturday at University Hospital in Jackson.

He had been residing in the Veterans Nursing Home Kosciusko since this past

April and was a former resident of Aldersgate Personal Care in Meridian.

Grady was the last surviving sibling of eleven. Parents James Robert and Minnie

Tatum Johnson also preceded him in death.

He was a retired basketball coach of Enterprise High School and former teacher

and principal of Enterprise Elementary.

He spoke fondly of his ball players at Enterprise and thought of them as his

children. He was a WW2 veteran of the US Navy and he loved his family,

students and feeding wildlife at his farm. He is survived by a few cousins

and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers are Billy Wayne Dean nephew, Stanley Thorne, Windell Thorne,

Johnny Thorne and Matthew Thorne all great nephews and Dan Pearson a

niece’s husband.
