Funeral Services for Caroline Johnson will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 4th at the Mississippi Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
Originally from Waycross, Georgia, she graduated Waycross High School in 1944 and at that time was employed with Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Young Women’s Service Organization. Following her marriage to the late Earl Johnson of Homerville, Georgia, they moved to Meridian and made their home of 62 years. She was a member of Trinity Presbysterian Church, the Atlanta, Georgia Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Marmaduke Coate Chapter of the National Society of Colonial Dames, and 17th Century.
Survivors include her children; Coleman Earl Johnson, of Ragley, Lousiana, and Rebecca “Becky” (Ronnie) Tomerlin, of Meridian; and grandson, Lloyd Mayatt of Pensalcola, Florida.
Pallbearers include Merrill Guice of Valdosta Georgia, Bill Murray of Homerville, Georgia, Dunn Mallard of Jacksonville, Florida, David Tomerlin, Dan Rader, John Faust all of meridian.
