Throughout his 91 years, William Lee Lon Liu displayed his strong commitment toward family. Blessed with the highest quality of life he shared the true values of love and giving. William was most happy when spending time with family and friends. Especially after his 90th birthday, family would periodically ask, “How is your life”, Pop would always answer with a smile, “Good”. His life was fulfilled with great support by an extensively large family and close knitted friends formed through his lifetime. A complete life of everlasting memories and values that will be cherished from generation to generation.
William was born in San Francisco, California on July 11, 1929. Raised with three others siblings in the family. One older sister and two older brothers. In 1947, William travelled to China where he was introduced to his wife, Tai Ho, by a family friend. This was a very old traditional Chinese Custom that had been passed down from generations before.
They got married in the home village then came back to California where later they started their business in the early 1950’s. He and his brothers established a successful foundation in Wasco, California, “National Market”; the family grocery business. William and Tai Ho Lee Liu dedicated long hours of work in the business to raise their four children, three sons and a daughter. As the family grew, in 1968, he expanded his family grocery business to Merced, “Century Mart”, where he then retired later.
William and Tai Ho have a platinum marriage of 73 golden years.
William is survived by his wife Tai Ho Lee Liu; older brother, George Lee. His three children and their families: Richard Lee Liu and wife Mamie, Audrey Lee Liu, and Donald Lee Liu. And his grandchildren, Brian Lee Liu, Aaron Lee Liu, Jennie Fengru Liu.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Young and Loo Shee Lee. His older brother and wife, Frank and Hing Lee, second brother wife, King Lee, his older sister, Chew Kuen and Dick Chong Lay, and his son, Harold Lee.

Due to COVID 19 regulations, there will be no public service. Space restrictions is very limited. There will only be a private service for immediate family members only.
