December 22, 1986 – September 5, 2010
Psalm 89:1-2
I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.
On September 5, 2010, the Lord picked a rose, a beautiful petal off of the rose, and said “my beautiful Princess Whitney, it’s time for me to take you to My beautiful, heavenly kingdom.”
December 22, 1986, born to Stacy and Johnny, in Merced California, Whitney attended Pioneer Grade School, Weaver Middle School, and graduated in 2005 from Golden Valley High School. She searched for different occupations and became a massage therapist which she truly loved. She wanted people to feel good. Whitney had her own personality and was different in her own way. She would always let you know what her feelings were and how she felt, and give her own opinion. She cared deeply about others. She had a nurturing spirit toward her sister and brother, and loved helping others.
Whitney was a special daughter. Her father gave her the name Princess and her favorite uncle, Leroy called her Whitney Pooh, and both of them treated her like royalty. Whitney found the Lord at a time in her life when she was searching and hungry to know Him. She was eager to be baptized. She had joined church at “It Ain’t Your Mamma’s Church” in Merced, CA, and on July 25, 2010, she was baptized for Jesus making her public her profession of faith and obedience unto the Lord.
After this time, during the last days of her life, she was on fire for the Lord, witnessing boldly to her many friends and family. Telling them of His love for them and urging them fervently to seek out a new life in Christ.
Whitney’s mom, Stacy says she knows how proud her daughter was to have met Christ and to have given her life to Him, fully. She believes it was amazing that she was able to see it for herself and feels so grateful that her daughter Whitney was at peace at the time she departed this world. For this reason, Whitney’s parents and the whole family feel a sense of joy…unexplainable joy beyond any sadness.
Whitney leaves many beloved family behind: her father Johnny Johnson; mother, Stacy Baber; sister Cecily, brother Javin, niece Alaya all of Merced, CA; and her grandfather Hail Baber of Rialto, CA. Aunts: Barbara Clark of San Dimas, CA, Gwen Baber & Pam Baber of Rialto, CA; Aunts from Merced, CA, Betty Johnson & Phyllis Johnson; Uncles from Merced, CA, Floyd Johnson, Tony Johnson, Robert Johnson, J.B.
