Walter was born December 22, 1970 in Merced, CA to Jerry and Jennifer Slate. He passed away on August 8, 2015 in Merced at the age of 44.
Walter loved spending time with his family, music, fishing, painting and watching his favorite team, The 49ers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Slate who passed away on July 12, 2015.
He is survived by his daughters, Sara and Katlynn; his father, Jerry Slate (Cathy); his brother Chad Slate, Issac Thompson; his sister Ashley Anderson (Brandon); 6 nephews and 3 nieces. Walter’s daughters were the loves of his life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Walter’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Elks Lodge in Merced at 11:30 a.m.
