He previously lived in Louisiana, Maine, Louisiana (twice), Guam, Florida and California. Rocco was Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air force, then as a civil servant in the same position for 20 years.
Rocco Colella, married to the love of his life Patricia, was a great father to Jay, Laura Aden married to Brian Aden, who had 3 amazing sons, Chris, Arin and Justin. Marion Sullivan married to Robert Sullivan, who had 2 amazing sons, Robert and Ricky, Rocco was. A friend to all that knew him, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter. Born in Kane, Pennsylvania, Rocco was one of ten siblings in a close-knit Italian family, where he developed a love for family, food, and faith that shaped his life.
His parents Sabastiano Guiseppe Colella and Mother, Rosa (Monturo) Colella and Brothers Guy, Louis, Frank, Vincent, John, his sisters Mary, Jennie and his Grandson Arin preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Joseph and sister Connie.
Rocco was a devoted husband to his wife of 66 years, with whom he shared a love that stood as a beacon of strength and partnership. Together, they raised three children who inherited his warmth, humor, and steadfastness. His pride and joy were his five grandsons, who were blessed by his endless encouragement, storytelling, and unwavering support.
A proud veteran, Rocco served as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 30 years and then as a civil servant for 20 more years in the same position, dedicating himself to his country while sharing his family. His children gained the gift of making friends wherever they moved to.
Rocco was known as a family man and for his infectious laughter, compassionate heart, and ability to make anyone feel cared for. Whether sharing a meal, telling stories, or offering a helping hand, he made everyone around him feel special.
Rocco's life was a celebration of family, food, and love. His memory will live on in the laughter of his family, the meals shared in his honor, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness.
He will be deeply missed but forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
