Rafael Jimenez was born on April 25, 1936 Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico and passed away on December 22, 2020 in Merced, California. Rafael was a retired Custodian, working for the Merced City School District for 35 years.
Rafael was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and father-in-law to his family which he loved very much. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving children Maria (Fidel) Andrade, Norma Jimenez, Gilbert (Marie) Jimenez, Ana Bertha Jimenez, Rafael Jr. (Teri) Jimenez, Lorena Jimenez, Gerardo (Leticia) Jimenez and Graciela Jimenez. He also leaves behind his brother Eliseo Mendez, sister Francisca Jimenez Bertahud, 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Rafael is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Jimenez.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, California 95341. Interment will follow at Merced District Cemetery, 1300 B Street, Merced, California 95341.
