Michael John Casias Jr.

He is survived by his children, Amanda (Francisco), Marina, David, Victoria (Daniel), Genaro (Kristina), RoseAnne (Ceasar) and Evonne (Felix); his grandchildren, Giovanni, Lylah, Lucifer, Latalia, Ariel and Cynthia; siblings, Joseph (Janice) and Joshua. Also surviving him are 7 nieces and nephews, along with the mothers of his children, Nina and Yvonne.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Michael Sr., 2 uncles and 1 nephew.

Michael worked at the Merced City School District for over a decade as a custodian and CSEA Chapter 530 president. Michael then continued to climb up in his profession in becoming a union labor rep. at the CSEA River Delta Office. Michael then started his business, Casias Janitorial and Yard Maintenance.

Michael is remembered for his sense of humor, being a jokester, his love of sports for his Lakers and Cowboys, listening to his music, barbequing for family and friends and his love for cowboy western movies. Michael's most prized possessions were his children and grandchildren. He was a strong fighter throughout his life. He always kept positive and loved unconditionally. Michael will be very missed by family and friends.

A visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California. A memorial Service will commence at 1:00 p.m.
