God called our cowboy Matt home on June 22nd after a brief illness. His family and friends were by his side when he passed peacefully to be with his Lord. Matt was born in San Diego but lived his life in Le Grand, where he had many friends. He enjoyed fishing with his Grandpa Herman and skateboarding with his buddies. During his teen years bull riding became his passion, as well as horses. He had many adventures during his life, including rounding up and branding cattle on a rustic ranch along the Platte River in Wyoming.
Matt loved his nieces and nephews and adopted nieces and nephews like they were his own. They gave him much joy and he loved picking out special gifts for each of them on birthdays and Christmas. His dogs and his horse Ladybug were his constant companions.
He is already so missed by his family. He is survived by his parents, David and Barbara Beltz, his sister, Rachel Beltz, his brother Nathan Beltz (Tiffany), his nieces and nephews, his uncles and aunts, many cousins who loved him dearly, and his Grandma Martha Garton, who loved having him stop by to eat breakfast or lunch every day.
Matt's life will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Plainsburg Cemetery in Le Grand. In lieu of flowers Matt would want you to adopt and love a dog or cat.
