Mary Catherine Fluetsch, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Catherine was born on September 30, 1936 in Ripon, CA to parents Raymond and Ava Bacciarini and older sister to Carolyn Bacciarini. Catherine was united in marriage to Peter J Fluetsch in the year 1957. They were happily married for 56 years, as Peter preceded her in death on September 11, 2014. Catherine was a devout member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. For many years, she enjoyed designing the floral arrangements displayed during the liturgical seasons. She was also her husband Peter’s sidekick in Scouting. She loved being a Den Mother for her two sons, John and Douglas. Catherine was President of the Mercy Hospital Foundation and one of its founding members. She was also an active participant in the Hospital Assistance League and had fun showcasing her many talents in the annual Follies. She is survived by her five children; Kathleen (Cliff) Moore, Father John Fluetsch, Christine (Brett) Frey, Jeannie (Michael) Bliss, Douglas (Kelli) Fluetsch, as well as, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a Rosary at 2:30 p.m. followed by a Mass at 3:00 p.m. at St Patrick’s Catholic Church on January 23, 2021. Charitable contributions and/or donations may be given to the Mercy Hospital Foundation, Catholic Charities, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and All Saints Catholic Church in Twain Harte.
