Mary Lee Cruser, 77, of Merced passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024 following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on October 22, 1947 in Honolulu, Hawaii and lived most of her adult life in Port Hueneme, California where she worked for the Department of Defense as a quality control analyst at the Naval Construction Battalion Center for over 35 years before retiring in 2005 and moving to Merced.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Roger, of Merced; brother Jim Westfall (Patty) Bend, Oregon; son Marc Alan Miller (Kelley) Orange, Texas; stepsons Daryl Cruser, Westlake Village, California and Bruce A. Cruser (Heather) Oxnard, California;a nephew, a niece and five grand nephews and nieces all of Bend, Oregon. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Russell Vernon Westall and Mary Harmon Westall.
She was an avid gardener and an active member of the local garden Club. Mary also enjoyed riding horses with her husband Roger.
The family would like to thank all the hospice nurses and the staff at the Lamerson Senior Living Home.
As per Mary's request no funeral or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by donating to your favorite charity or the Parkinson's Foundation in her memory.
