Leopoldo Castro

Leopoldo Castro was born June 24, 1930. He passed away March 7, 2020. Leo served in the United States Airforce from 1947 to 1950. He devoted his life to the Lord as a Pastor of the Church of the Living God in Merced, California. Leo graduated from the International School of Christ in 2001. Leo was a loving father and grandfather. He was respected in the community as a man of God. Leo stood firm in the belief of the Word of God. His favorite Bible scriptures were Psalm 100: 1-5, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations.” and 1 Peter 1:24-25, “For all people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever. and this is the word that was preached to you.”

Leo is survived by his son Leopoldo Castro Jr. and his daughter Isabel Abundez. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who knew him.
