Leo Leroy Pettit was born on November 17, 1932 to Ethel and Carl Pettit in Fayette, Iowa and passed away on May 19, 2012 in Merced, CA at the age of 79.
Leo lived in Waterloo, Iowa before moving to Merced, CA. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy and was a longtime employee of Merced County Parks and Recreation.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Delores; children, Denise, Janet, Randy, Marty, Mark, Jon, Jody, and Bob; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.
