Laura Kay Warner brightened this world from her very first breath on October 31, 1947. She continued to give light through her last breath on April 02, 2021.
The first 11 years of her light and life were spent in Kellerton, Iowa, until she moved with her family to shine her light in Merced, CA.
While shining in Merced, she would attend Merced High School, share her talents in the marching band, add to the joy of the Bowling Club, the Green Stamp Bowlers, and Attend United Methodist Church of Merced where she was active with the United Methodist Women, the Wings of Hope, the Hospitality Committee and many other leadership positions and as Administrative Assistant for the Church.
It would be here in Merced, that she would meet her husband, Lowell, and raise a family, including two sons, Tim and Tom.
Always concerned with serving God and others, her brightest light was shone as she exuded kindness, humility and welcome.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell, Sister, Deanna, and Parents, Howard and Lowene.
Laura’s light shines on as her memories and influence are held by sons, Timothy Warner of Merced, CA, Thomas Warner, wife Kellie, of Irvine, CA, Grandchildren, Hailey Warner and Jaxon Warner, as well as many friends, extended family and especially a myriad of nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory may be sent to: The United Methodist Church of Merced (899 Yosemite Pkwy, Merced, C 95340), or to the Norcal Boxer Rescue (NCBR Headquarters 1520 E. Covell B-5 PMB #262 Davis CA 95616).
An Outdoor Memorial service to honor her life and celebrate her light will be held May 1, 2021 10:00 am, at United Methodist Church of Merced.
