In loving memory of Johnny Joseph Villa born September 07, 1984. He passed away unexpectedly on March 04, 2025, at the age of 40 years old. John was a third-generation construction worker in the laborer’s union for 20 years. A lifelong resident of Atwater, CA. Beloved son, brother, father, #1 tio, and friend to many.
John is survived by his parents John E Villa, and Lidia Villa, and three sisters Kris Villa, Tisha Villa, and Jennifer Villa. Ex-wife Allison son Julian, and daughters Alyssa, and Alina. His ride-or-die nephew Elias Villa (lil bro). Plus numerous tios, tias, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Johnny had a big heart and a joy for life. He was full of character always laughing, and telling jokes. His favorite pastimes were coaching baseball with his kids. He had a passion for writing music and rapping. Loved listening to music and spending time with family. A hardcore A’s and die-hard Raider fan. A foodie who had a big appetite and always loved to throw ribs on the smoker. Johnny will be deeply missed. He will be forever in our hearts, and cherished by many who knew him.
A Visitation service for John will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B. Street, Merced, California, 95341.
A Rosary Service will occur on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 562 West 13th Street, Merced, California, 95341.
A Funeral Mass will occur on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 562 West 13th Street, Merced, California, 95341.
Following Mass will be the Interment at Calvary Cemetery, 260 West Childs Avenue, Merced, California, 95341.
