John Flynn Eirich

John Flynn Eirich was born on May 20, 1949 in Merced, California to Robert Flynn and Mary (Montgomery) Flynn. John was later adopted by Robert Eirich after Robert Flynn passed away. John was a local farmer and was the past Vice President of Valley Fig Growers, a member of the Elks Club, N.H.R.A and the owner of a Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster “Ground Zero”.

John is preceded in death his parents Robert Flynn, and Robert and Mary Eirich; grandparents Andrew & Sarah Montgomery and his sister Maggie Frazier and sister-in-law Kellie Pruitt.

He is survived by his wife Lynda (Roduner) Eirich, and his son Evan (Paula Reinero) of Merced; his daughter Sadie (Scott) Davis and their son Aiden Davis of Don Pedro; his step-children Leslie Morgan, Jeff Joyner, Dana Silva Joyner; his brothers Kurt Eirich, Jeff (Lori) Eirich, and his sister Lisa DuBose; brother-in-law Walter Roduner, and sisters-in-law Judy Klingen, and Jane Files.

There will be a celebration of life for John on October 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Please come and share your memories and stories with the family at the Eirich residence. Wear your Ground Zero or other racing attire.Arrangements under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merced, CA.
