Janice Mae Freitas

Janice was a Seamstress and she was also active in the McSwain 4-H Club. She kept score for youth baseball and continued through to adult softball. Janice loved to support all her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all activities they were involved in.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Freitas; her parents, Loren and Edith Alvord; her brothers Lester and Chester Halverson; sisters, Roberta Hartman and Lorna Nunes.

Janice is survived by her children, Pam (Tom) Darley, Ronnie (Mary) Freitas, Gary Freitas, Judy (Timm Shepherd) Wade, Teresa (Jerry) Brummell, Edie Lough, Loren (Stephanus) Freitas and Mary (Charlie) Fryar and sister, Marilyn Howard. Also surviving Janice are 33 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation for Janice on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, located at 1490 B Street, Merced, Ca. from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will happen Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at Merced District Cemetery, Merced, Ca.
